One misconception people have about work is
Output = time * output per time.
they think output is dependent on either time or output per time ( we don’t account for diminishing return).
What I’ve found to be the actual case is, output per person is already defined. Instead it’s the other variable that change (most often times output per time).
So giving them more time to do a specific task, just means people reduce their output per time.
A lot of it comes down to urgency.
